Many of our guests have been very generous with their comments and we truly appreciate the time they take to write their reviews.

Brook house was built in 1910 and some of the character has been retained, such as the beautiful fireplace in one room and the wallpaper.  The latter is not 1910 vintage but a more modern version of it.  My taste may not suit everyone, but then I am vintage' - although not I may add quite 1910!

I love my home and love to share it and am fortunate to meet lovely people from all over the world.   Which is why I am still working hard after 20 years of doing B and B.

We try very hard to maintain a high standard and do try to get things right, so it is rewarding to see our guests' recognition of our efforts.

What our Guests say

Our room was very large and comfortable. This was a one-night stay while we were on a walking holiday in the Cotswolds. Although our room was at the front of the house (overlooking a main road) we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. The breakfast was really nice and just what was needed to fuel us up for our next walking stage.

We arrived here and found a great place to stay. We were in one of the ensuite rooms at the front of the house. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was large enough for both myself and my husband to sleep in. The sheets and bedding was clean and soft and the bathroom was well equipped. It even had the little touches of Cotten balls and buds. The shower was powerful and hot enough for my picky husband. He even had to turn the temperature down. We stayed for two nights and the breakfast could not be faulted on both mornings. It was great to be served in bone china cups. And there was plenty of cereal and fruit to help ourselves to. Marianne who owns the establishment is really welcoming and made our dog welcome too. All in all I would recommend here for a visit. Even if it’s just as a base to explore the wider surrounding.

Traditional B&B near village centre

Found Brook House to be a friendly, clean and comfortable, family-run, traditional B&B. Quiet good sized room, we had a shared bathroom - ensuite are available too. Parking and a few minutes on foot to the village centre. Excellent english breakfast served in the morning too!

Very quaint b and b

Hostess was very friendly. Provided a delicious English breakfast, best of our trip! Room was comfortable, parking was available. Close to village center. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Great stop on the Cotswold Way

A great stop over while walking the Cotswold Way National Trail. Easy to find.
Friendly and welcoming. Comfortable well supplied room. Enormous breakfast to get started in the morning.
Helpful advice about Broadway such as where to eat in the evening.
Fantastic value for money. Highly recommend.

What a lovely place to stay! A real 'find'.

With all the Stratford B&Bs full for Shakespeare's birthday weekend I looked further afield and found Brook House- luckily they had one room remaining. Im so glad I stayed here! Only 20 minutes, or less, drive from Stratford along lovely quiet, idyllic roads, giving me a chance to sample the Cotswolds and their farm shops and antiques centres, flea markets and car boots, village pubs and walks. What a find!

As for Brook House itself- delightful! Marianne welcomed myself and my children reasonably late in the eve with a smile on her face and happy to accomodate us however she could. She was helpful, lovely to the kids and available whenever needed. The breakfast was delicious and she went to extra trouble to please my fussy kids. The B&B was lovely and tranquil- a big spacious house, even with other guests it was quiet. The room was clean and spacious with comfy beds and a nice hot shower. The complimentary toiletries were an added bonus.

All in all a fabulous stay in a lovely village which I didnt know existed but will certainly revisit. With a 'branch' of the Ashmolean museum just a few minutes away from Brook House and several ye olde pubs this is a gem hidden not far from many popular places, but staying here is like being in the Cotswolds with nothing but peace and quiet and someone to cook you breakfast! Perfect!

Although- the free and excellent wifi didnt go amiss with kids! Thank you Marianne for this modern 'extra'!
